Government and inter-government organisations, private foundations and grant-giving NGOs play a significant role in supporting people, communities and businesses in the UK and around the world, supporting programmes covering research, humanitarian aid, development aid, energy, transport, medicine, health, education, culture and the environment.

Donors, both national and international, operate in a dynamic environment, where transparency and oversight of public funding are paramount. Grant beneficiaries need to understand this environment, the corresponding rules and regulations, and the means whereby the grant provider will judge the eligibility of claims for reimbursement from grant funds.

A particular specialism of ours is working with NGOs, International Organisations and UN entities implementing humanitarian and development projects funded by the EU. Our work in this area takes us to grantee headquarters within Europe and also to the field, to ensure that funding is spent in line with project objectives and fulfils the eligibility criteria of the grant agreement.

The international aspect of our work sees us collaborating with PKF offices around the globe, drawing on local expertise and languages in order to complete our assignments. We regularly undertake assignments across the EU and associated countries, the European Neighbourhood region, Africa, the Middle East, South East Asia and Latin America.
